Reminder: Community Weekend Oct. 17

We are very excited to have our second Community Weekend of the year on Oct. 17. Boarding students will not be permitted to take an overnight on this weekend. Any evening leave will be approved as long as the student returns to campus in time for the start of the programming that evening (around 8 p.m.) As always, day students are strongly encouraged to attend!

The particular community weekend programming is a large "Block Party" that is hosted by the sixth-form class. This annual tradition is done in memory of Anna Trustey ’16, who thought of the idea in her fifth-form year but, due to a tragic accident, was unable to see it through. It is a wonderful event with many activities to enjoy. If you have any questions, please contact Dean of Student Life Jen Weissbach.

Weekend Activities

The class of 2027 is running the show at our annual block party on the Class of 2020 Quad, where students can enjoy face painting, bobbing for apples, donuts on a string, a pie-eating contest, gaga ball, a photo booth, cotton candy, and so much more! On Main Street, we'll have a basketball tournament. Afterward, there will be a dance, too! See the full schedule in the Weekend Bulletin.

An officer from the North Andover Police Department visited this morning to talk with students about situational awareness and safety on campus in the event of an emergency.

Academics

The college counseling department of Cameron Segal, Andy Campbell and Brenna Kelly presented to families about the various aspects of the college process and the range of support provided by this veteran team.

Exchange Program Applications Are Open

The application for Exchange programs in Botswana, Hungary, Peru and Scotland are now open for students to complete and submit. Applications are due by Oct. 24. All the information about this year's program, including locations, dates and fees, can be found in OnBrooks > Groups > Exchange Program Information.
