FROM THE PRESIDENT
PMINYC at 40: Building What Comes Next
Forty years is an important milestone for PMINYC. But as I think about what comes next, I keep coming back to a simple question. What should this Chapter be for the very next person that joins?
That question matters because the world around us is changing, and so are the needs and expectations of our members. What created value yesterday may not be enough tomorrow. We need to keep listening, learning, and evolving. The next person may be early in their career, new to New York City, or even changing industries. Whatever brings them here, I want PMINYC to be more than a place where they attend an event and go home. I want it to be their community, your community, and my community. Our community.
A professional community becomes more valuable when members can find each other, connect, and build lasting relationships.
For me, the next stage of our journey is about making those connections easier, more meaningful, and more numerous, helping each of us broaden the circle of people we know across our Chapter. It is about creating opportunities to learn from one another, help one another, and build relationships that continue long after an event ends.
Forty years gives us a strong foundation, but what comes next will be shaped by all of us. Members building things for other members. People sharing their experience, opening doors for one another, and making our Chapter stronger through the connections we create.
One way we are bringing that idea to life is through our new Member Directory. Take a look, claim or update your profile, and make it easier for others in our PMINYC community to find and connect with you.
Go help build and strengthen our community. This is your Chapter. These are your people. Go connect with them today.
