Greetings!
Jupiter, the planet that rules abundance has just entered the sign that rules money, our values, food, sensuality, gardens, the throat and thyroid ---Taurus. Uranus, Mercury, and the north node are also all now in the sign of Taurus but Jupiter will be there for one year. Jupiter is also the sign of the spiritual teacher. There is an opportunity this year to contemplate what you value, what you truly value and then create your good fortune in alignment with that.
For example, do you value your health? What are your health practices? Do you eat just enough of what your body needs or do you eat as much as your desire wants? If you value knowledge, what books do you read? What workshops do you take to increase your knowing? If you value relationship, what energy do you put into being a great partner?
When Jupiter gives us what we ask for on the material plane through intention setting, do you also envision who as a character you wish to step into to carry the grace of that good fortune? There is a mathematically derived point in an astrological chart called the part of fortune. The part of fortune shows us what talents we have now from having performed good deeds in past lives. It also gives some indicator of what aspects of our career we will be able to achieve with the greatest ease. My part of fortune is in the 12th house - the house of the mystic, healing, the dream time, evolutionary astrology and meditation. It is no wonder ( along with other planets also in the 12th house ) that I would have chosen to specialize in a branch of psychotherapy that includes all of those things - Jungian psychology.
If you were born with personal planets ( the sun, moon, ascendant, Venus, Mercury, and Mars) in water element signs of Pisces, Cancer, or Scorpio or earth element signs of Capricorn, Taurus, or Virgo, you will receive blessings from Jupiter this year in the area that these signs are placed in your wheel house. If you have planets mostly in fire and air, you will most likely experience Jupiter's dark side which is excess. Doing too much, eating too much, spending too much, etc are examples. So you see, even a planet that brings abundance, has its shadow side.
Mercury is finally out of its shadow and the moon is still building for another 5-6 days. With only Pluto in retrograde, I encourage you to swing out on something you believe in now. Saturn the planet that rules one's career and vocational purpose will go retrograde on June 17th until Nov 4th. When Saturn goes retro, we are asked to work on inner discipline, inner soul inquiries so for the next two weeks, I encourage you to expand your outer world. Saturn is moving through the house in my chart that rules publishing. I just finished the final touches on my new book cover and released it to the publisher. I am excited that you will all be able to buy a copy of BreastQuake in just 4 months!
I purposely approached high level alternative medicine MD/best selling authors when Jupiter began to get to the end of Aries because Jupiter has been moving through my career house. It made a supportive aspect to my Mercury which rules writing and communication, then my moon recently and will touch my sun soon. Am really honored to have a former breast cancer surgeon turned functional medicine physician write the foreword, an internationally known gynecologist, integrative oncologist, two functional medicine chiropractors, a functional medicine psychiatrist, USA Today journalist, and a relationship coach/author breast cancer thriver all known the world over who gave me endorsements in record speed. My dear friend Dr Hyla Cass facilitated some of those communications. Thank you Hyla!
So, getting back to Jupiter. It really helps to plan meetings that can bring financial remuneration under easy Jupiter transits. These transits are also good times to ask for a raise, have surgery ( if it is a sextile or a trine), start new projects, and begin working with a coach or any one on one alliances.
On that note, I am extending my good fortune to you. Twice a year I give a reduction to my soul blueprint readings. June is my birthday month so I will once again be offering 20% off my normal fees. Next October when my book comes out I will be raising my fees which I haven't done in over 3 years. I put a lot of time into those readings. Do not go to my website, if you are interested in this. The fee there is still $497 as always. Write to me directly at drtoni@drtonigalardi.com to receive $100 off.
Malcolm X - From Criminal to Zealous Religious Devotee to Civil Rights Leader
Malcolm X had an interesting life and not surprisingly, an interesting astrological chart. Born unde the Sun and Mercury in Taurus, he also had Jupiter in Capricorn gracing his sun and Mercury that led to his becoming an important figure in Black history. Even though he died shortly before his 40th birthday, without the protection of Jupiter, it would have surely happened much earlier. He grew up in foster homes and his early years involved a life of crime. He also had Uranus square to his ascendant which can bring on violent accidents and life events that instantly change the destiny of an individual. He also had Mars, the planet of aggression merged with Pluto, the planet of death and transformation in the house that rules open enemies. When he was shot, it was definitely out in the open - 21 times supposedly by three men while the police basically did nothing while it was happening.
Malcolm's north node was in Leo, so he was meant to step away from the group consciousness of the nation of Islam ( south node in Aquarius) the year before he died. Seeing its dark side, he began to espouse some of the views of Martin Luther King and the civil rights movement. It was believed at the time that three men from the nation of Islam were responsible for his death. After spending twenty years wrongfully incarcerated, two of those men were set free. Cyrus R. Vance Jr., the Manhattan district attorney who is among the nation’s most prominent local prosecutors, apologized on behalf of law enforcement, which he said had failed the families of the two men. Those failures, he said, could not be remedied, “but what we can do is acknowledge the error, the severity of the error. Lawsuits were filed on behalf of the men. In February of this year, Malcolm X's family filed a $100 million dollar law suit against the FBI and other federal agencies, asserting their responsibility in his death.
What I was inspired by in Malcolm is that in spite of his huge following in the nation of Islam, that he took a 180 degree turn in his beliefs and was willing to die for that truth when devotees of the Nation of Islam threatened his life . He told Alex Haley ( author of Roots) his biographer, that he would be surprised if he would still be alive when the book was published and as fate would have it, the book was published 3 months after his assassination. How many of us are willing to walk away from the religiosity of our beliefs to embrace something quite different in the second half of our lives? And remember he was a Sun and Mercury in Taurus person. They are a stubborn bunch and slow to change. Let this year of Jupiter in the sign of material abundance be the year you use your resources to expand your consciousness and challenge everything you've held as dogmatically true.
The journey I went on when I was diagnosed with breast cancer absolutely blew open certain beliefs I had about what causes breast cancer and furthermore, what heals it.
Reach out and let me know what you are doing with your good fortune this year that supports your evolution and and the evolution of others. What is challenging what you think you knew so that a more authentically vulnerable you can emerge?
Love and light,
Dr Toni
