News and Updates - 2/25/22
Hello from Massachusetts Squash! Here\'s the latest on all things squash related in the Boston area.
Welcoming New Squash Facilities in the Greater Boston Area:
MA Squash Members - I am very pleased to announce two very interesting additions to the MA Squash Landscape. The first is an offering at SquashWest (formerly Concord Acton) for non club members to access courts on a per use basis. The non membership model has been available to players in DC, NY and other regions, and we are super excited to see this opportunity offered at a club so many of us have visited. This model opens up access to squash in an important way and we are very excited to follow the program in the months to come. See below for details from new club owner, John Bleuer:

SquashWest: Calling all Boston squash players living West of the city. SquashWest, a members club, now offers a pay-n-play option for MA squash players that might want to get a weekend game near home.

Compliments of the US Squash / Club Locker IT team, booking a court on a credit card at SquashWest is easy to do and doesn't require interaction with the club. Simply go to squashwest.com and follow the pay-n-play link. Court time is $30 / hr; $40 / hr during prime time (M-F 5pm-7pm).

Our 5 international singles courts and 1 international doubles court offers capacity for play; there is little need to plan days in advance. Grab a friend and visit us.

Second, Boston's residential high rise developments have been adding amenities to become more competitive like dog washing stations, concierge services of every type etc.  The Quinn, a residential building in the Ink Block area on Harrison Ave in the south end is planning to integrate a single squash court into its on premises athletic facility representing what I believe to be the only court available in a Boston residential building. Hopefully it won't remain "only" for long!

We are glad that many of you have returned to play safely, be it in leagues, our state tournaments or more casually. The MA Squash board is heartened by the enthusiasm our players have brought back to their clubs and our sport!
