The Road to Reauthorization continues! Here are a few updates to keep in focus as we head into spring.

Stakeholder Engagement Process Updates:

  • On March 25, SCFD staff and the GBSM project team hosted an informational webinar for funded partners about the Road to Reauthorization. We shared some early learnings from Phase 1 and answered questions from attendees about the process. Thanks to all who were able to tune in and share their questions! If you missed it, a recording of the webinar as well as the slide deck used and a transcript of the conversation are on the Road to Reauthorization webpage.
  • In addition, a Project Overview sheet is now available, which provides at-a-glance information about stakeholder engagement process activities, an overview of how the district came to be as it is today, and impacts and challenges of the current funding model we've identified to date.
  • We've also added an FAQ section to the bottom of the Road to Reauthorization webpage which answers common questions we've heard about the process so far. We'll continue to update this as the process continues, so please refer to it if you have any questions.
  • The GBSM project team is in the process of laying out a schedule for the next phase, the District-Wide Listening Tour. As soon as we have those dates and opportunities, we will share them in this newsletter and on the SCFD website.

Of course, please also feel free to reach out to SCFD staff with additional questions or feedback about the process. Your participation in this progress will allow us to have the most collective impact on SCFD's structure and funding model. As always, we are grateful in advance for your feedback and partnership in this process as we work together to build a stronger SCFD.
