MEMBER SPOTLIGHT - NAVIGANT CREDIT UNION

Over the course of its more than 108-year history, the team at Navigant Credit Union has helped a whole lot of Rhode Islanders purchase a whole lot of homes. And according to Freddie Almeida, Navigant Credit Union’s Vice President and Residential Mortgage Origination Manager, the sense of pride that comes with helping a neighbor realize their dream of homeownership never gets old.

“Our goal in everything we do at Navigant Credit Union is to improve the financial well-being of the families, businesses and communities we serve across the state of Rhode Island,” Almeida said. “We really strive to get to know our members on a personal level. We understand the responsibility that comes with playing our small part in our members’ big milestones, and that’s what drives to come into work every day.”

An industry veteran with more than two decades of experience, Almeida joined Navigant Credit Union’s residential lending team in 2010 and has played a leadership role on a team that has been recognized by Providence Journal readers as the state’s #1 Mortgage Lender for two consecutive years.

“We’re always proud to see our work recognized,” Almeida said. “We see these awards as a testament to the individualized service we provide. Regardless of their budgets or experience going through the homebuying process, our goal at Navigant Credit Union is to position ourselves as true, hands-on partners for our members. We love our work, and we hope it shows.”

RIMBA PAC 2023 Drive - Did you know????

One of the most important roles of RIMBA is to represent the mortgage banking industry before the Rhode Island General Assembly.

Each year, RIMBA’s Legislative Committee reviews over 1,000 bills, identifying those which pose a risk to our business. The Committee works with RIMBA’s paid lobbyists, Terry Martiesian and Lennette Forry-Menard, lobbying the General Assembly leadership and members on behalf of the industry to reject or modify those bills that are problematic. Part of this lobbying effort includes.... (more)
