CONSTRUCTION ALERT!

LITTLE POND BOARDWALK

Construction at the entrance to the Boardwalk began June 23. The Town of Litchfield secured a grant from the CT DOT for two parking lots off of Whites Woods Road. The first lot will be immediately at the main entrance to The Little Pond Boardwalk. We ask that you use the Mallard Marsh entrance during this construction. This entrance is about 1/4 mile down Whites Woods Road to the left of the main entrance. When the 44 space lot is completed at the main entrance, they will begin construction on 11 parking spots near Mallard Marsh. They will then eliminate all road side parking on this section of Whites Woods Road.

Thank you for your cooperation, this will help to keep you safe

and give the crew room to work!

The Tail End

Firefly Experience

In this short movie, Radim Schrieber tried to capture his feelings and experiences with fireflies in the woods near his house in Fairfield, Iowa. He wanted to document not only their beauty and magical glow, but also behavior in their natural environment. He has chosen not to do any digital manipulation to the video itself, so the footage came straight from the camera. This is real-time footage of fireflies! Sit back, relax and enjoy the summer magic. For more videos and photos visit http://www.FireflyExperience.org
