The **Vision Forward Learning Lab Series** brings together volunteers, community leaders, and conversational activists to practice having empathetic, productive discussions.
*“What I Wish I Would Have Said”* series
The *“What I Wish I Would Have Said”* series, launched in January 2026, offered four engaging sessions available for replay on the **[NWSOFA YouTube Channel (798)](https://www.youtube.com/@nwsofa)**. Even if you missed earlier sessions, you’ll find this workshop valuable and easy to follow.
During this **Office Hours** session, bring your own conversation scenarios or tricky comments you’ve encountered. Together, we’ll apply the **Four Skills** and **“Seven Ways to Avoid an Argument”** to construct responses that calm, connect, and *move the needle*.
Learn to steer conversations, prevent arguments, and recover from “stuck” dialogues—all while preserving relationships and strengthening your influence.
**Vision Forward 2.0** is a pro‑democracy learning initiative designed to help volunteers and community advocates communicate thoughtfully in moments of tension, misinformation, or division.
These skill‑based, practical sessions are grounded in real-world conversations happening right now. Join us to practice tools that make your communication stronger, clearer, and more effective—it’s easier than you think!

**Homework Reminder (from prior session):**
1. Watch *Jefferson Fisher – “Disagree Without Drama: How To Talk To Someone You Completely Disagree With.”*
2. Hold three real-life conversations using the skills learned. Notice and avoid arguments!
