9 REASONS WHY YOUR PASTOR MAY NEED YOUR PRAYERS NOW MORE THAN EVER

It’s been over four months ago, but it still seems like yesterday. As the nation began to come to grips with the reality of a global pandemic, many businesses, organizations, and all major American sports shut down in a manner of hours. During the afternoon of Friday, March 13, a large group of pastors in my association gathered around a table to try and make sense of their rapidly changing circumstances. One seasoned pastor told me privately, “This is the most difficult challenge I have faced in over 30 years of pastoral ministry.”

A lot has changed since then, but one thing that hasn’t is the fact that pastors are some of my biggest heroes. They certainly deserve our gratitude for the way they’ve led during the pandemic, but they also need our ongoing prayer support. Here are 9 reasons why your pastor may need your prayers now more than ever:

MINISTRY OPPORTUNITY

There is an opportunity for LRBA Churches to get involved with feeding the hungry.

If you have people in your community that are in need of food “Love The Hungry“ will provide food for you to distribute to your community.

If you have a team of people who are looking for opportunities to volunteer “Love The Hungry” offers that opportunity, too. There is a need for volunteers to pack boxes for the hungry.

Love The Hungry needs volunteers of all ages.

How can we serve one another?

We can help connect those who have needs to those who can help. Connections like this could lead to great gospel partnerships for the future.

If your church would like to partner with churches specifically on renovation or repair needs, please let us know. We have opportunities to connect your labor and skill with churches in need. Contact us at the email above.

WE STILL HAVE FREE MASKS FOR DISTRIBUTION!

FEMA has given us a good supply of reusable-washable cotton masks. These masks can be washed up to 15 times and are FREE to LRBA churches who have need of them. They are only available to ministries and churches, not businesses or individuals, and they are not to be sold. Contact the LRBA office at (502) 635-2601 today to reserve your masks. Distribution will be on a first come, first served basis.

Our next LRBA EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING will be held at 12 noon on August 24, 2020 at Bethany Baptist Church. NO MEAL WILL BE SERVED.

We will meet in the sanctuary and will practice social distancing. Masks and sanitizer will be available.
