Academic Resources

Proofreading services are available through the Academic Learning Center both in-person and in Brightspace.

In-Person:

Monday - Friday - 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in the Library 331

Monday - Thursday - 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Library 3rd floor, across from Career Services

Brightspace:

From the Brightspace Homepage, click DISCOVER, then Proofreading Fall 2023 and click Enroll in Course.

Tutoring Available:

The Academic Learning Center also has one-on-one tutoring available and various course review sessions. Check out their available resources here.

The Marist Writing Center offers one-on-one writing tutoring. To make an appointment with a writing tutor visit marist.mywconline.com. They are located on the 3rd floor of the Library, room 334. They offer Virtual F2F (face to face) tutoring and Email Draft Tutoring.

Winter and Spring Registration

While we are just kicking off the fall semester, before you know it we will send out an announcement regarding winter and spring registration. Advising will begin in October with registration in November!

Marist College offers a Weekend Paralegal Certificate Program that has been approved by the American Bar Association for over 30 years. The Paralegal Program is designed for adult students with a minimum of 36 transferrable college credits and provides students the opportunity to learn the skills for a successful career in a law office, corporate setting or public agency. The Paralegal Program’s 24 credit curriculum combines legal theory with its practical application ensuring that graduates bridge the gap between academics and a professional career.

Classes meet two weekends each month beginning in either March or September. Students earn 24 credits in 24 weekends, completing their Paralegal Certificate in just 12 months. All instructors are practicing attorneys in the local community and work together with our students in a supportive environment. We are currently enrolling for our Fall 2023 cohort.
