Update on Bylaw Change by Petition Request

Recently, Sea Pines CSA received a petition with 322 signatures requesting a special meeting and membership vote to amend the CSA Bylaws to mandate quarterly town hall meetings with CSA management. Below is an update on the results of our review.

Sea Pines currently has 5,811 single-family lots, single-family dwellings, and multi-family dwellings, which means CSA has 5,811 Class A Members. Five percent (5%) of the membership is 291 Members, the number of valid signatures required to call a special meeting by petition. Following review, the Petition was found to contain 281 valid signatures, which do not meet the required threshold for the call of a special meeting by petition. The research was performed by CSA staff and the results confirmed by CSA's legal counsel.

The CSA Board of Directors recognizes the interest the petition reflects and will discuss the request for quarterly town hall meetings at its November meeting.

Sea Pines Community Standards Rules and Regulations Amendments

At the September board meeting, the Sea Pines CSA Board of Directors approved a series of amendments to the Sea Pines Community Standards Rules and Regulations. The revisions were recommended by the CIM Committee following a thorough review of current rules and regulations. We encourage property owners to take a few minutes to review the most significant revisions here.

The updated Community Standards Rules and Regulations are available at seapinesliving.com/standards. Have questions about your property? Please contact our Community Standards team at communitystandards@csaseapines.com.
