This Saturday!
The City of Pembroke Pines, in partnership with Clean Harbors Environmental Services, provides household hazardous waste drop off events for residents on a quarterly basis. The next event, located at the City’s wastewater treatment plant located at 13975 Pembroke Road, will take place on December 14, 2024. Hours of operation are 8 am to 2 pm. Residents must bring proof of Pembroke Pines residency to use the drop off services. Savor the Sounds
Everyone is welcome to spend a fun and free evening at Savor the Sounds, sponsored by Memorial Healthcare System, on the Plaza at the Charles F. Dodge City Center located at 601 City Center Way on Sunday, December 15, from 4 pm to 6 pm. This collaboration of music and fun is the perfect way to get family and friends together for a relaxing, feel-good evening made up of music by LaVie and live art with Artist Juan Pablo Sierra. There will be lawn games to enjoy like corn hole, dominoes, giant Connect 4 and Jenga. Food truck Cuisine and adult beverages will also be available for purchase. Please bring seating – lawn chairs or blankets and a reminder that no dogs are allowed. The January concert will take place on Sunday, January 26, 2025 from 4 pm to 6 pm.

Holiday Open House
There’s no better place to be to get into the holiday spirit than the Carl Shechter Southwest Focal Point Community Center, located at 301 NW 103 Ave. The Annual Holiday Open House is a must to attend for all ages on Thursday, December 12 from 6 pm to 9 pm. There is live entertainment, hot cocoa and cookies, face painting, holiday displays and it’s all free. Santa will also be there giving away free party favors. Residents will not receive garbage or bulk service on Christmas Day, Wednesday- December 25. Residents who do not receive garbage service on Christmas Day should place their carts out for pick up on the resident’s next regularly scheduled pick up day. Residents living in Bulk Zone 11 will not receive bulk service on Christmas Day and have been rescheduled for December 30. | |
