Constitution Day at Loma Vista

Students Celebrate Constitution Day Across TUSD

In celebration of Constitution Day, students at schools like Loma Vista enjoyed learning more about the Constitution through activities and song. Across the District, our elementary students brought history to life through music as they performed ‘The Preamble’ from Schoolhouse Rock! Such a fun and creative way to connect with the Constitution.

Constitution Day recognizes the adoption of the United States Constitution. It is normally observed on September 17, the day delegates to the Constitutional Convention signed the Constitution in 1787. Congress designated September 17 as Constitution Day and Citizenship Day on February 29, 1952, by joint resolution. It begins Constitution Week in the United States, which continues through September 23.
