Dear members and friends:
YOU DID IT!! At the Kickoff in November this year we announced an ambitious goal of 500 members and thought it might take two years to get there. But you did it by inviting your “plus one” and spreading the word throughout Martin County. We end Season 8 with 510 members.
For the first time, we will be awarding five Impact Grants at the Grant Awards Celebration on April 9th. What a sensational accomplishment!! The Board of Impact100 Martin thanks you, as does the nonprofit community as we continue to invest in a brighter future for Martin County.
So, who will receive the Impact Grants? Well, that’s up to you. Remember, a key part of the Impact100 model is “one woman, one vote.” Watch for a Special Edition Newsletter on March 20th when we announce which projects were selected as our finalists and provide instructions on how to vote, either in-person at the Grant Awards Celebration or in-advance, by absentee ballot. Either way, please vote. Your vote is your voice!
Please take a minute to read this newsletter for information on how to register yourself and your guests for the Grant Awards Celebration. We still have other member engagement events, ending with our May 1st golf outing at Mariner Sands. All these events are a great way to introduce friends to Impact100 and invite them to be part of our growing, thriving chapter. You know how to spread the word … you sure did it this year!
In addition to you, there are so many people to thank who serve on our Board and Committees as well as business sponsors, but I will save that for the Grant Awards Celebration. I hope to see you there … we have a lot to celebrate!
With gratitude for your generosity no matter the form it takes,
| Maureen Cotter, President | |

During the month of March, the committee fully explores the 9 semifinalists. We are attending on-site visits and reviewing full applications and detailed budgets Once attaining this knowledge, the committee meets to determine the projects that will move forward as finalists. The finalists will be announced to the membership on March 20th in a special eblast.
Be sure to watch for that eblast so you educate yourself about each of the finalists projects submitted. In that eblast, you will have the opportunity to review the grant applications and a short video about the project. This information will help you in your decision about which of these worthy projects will receive your votes for an Impact Grant.
A special thanks to the women serving on the Grants Committee for their time and dedication to the Impact100 Martin grants process! It is so exciting that this year we will have 5 grant recipients!

I saw the first article about the forming of Impact100 Martin in a Newspaper years ago… and intrinsically knew that this was something to aspire to! All volunteer activity that I’ve ever been involved with, has strengthened understanding the ‘It takes a village’ concept, as well as having been deeply rewarding – in that one receives as much if not even more, than one gives. | | |
|
I’m a 1st generation American, have lived abroad, my family continues to live in Europe. I have a Masters of Fine Arts in Sculpture/Ceramics and concentrate in mixed -media on the metaphorical theme of ‘Form & Function in Nature and Pattern & Purpose in Culture’.
Professionally, I paint residential and commercial murals. I initiated and spearhead Landmark Arts, a nonprofit umbrella for the Hobe Sound Murals Project – “Creating a Sense of Place” - with 28 murals to date, accomplished with guest artists and community residents.
For me a life well-lived, involves being creative and engaged with others in the pursuit of enhancing our visual, intellectual, social and natural environments. Being an extrovert helps!
Nadia has been a dedicated member of the Member Engagement Committee since its early days in 2021. She spearheaded some of Impact100 Martin’s most beloved events, including the Hobe Sound Mural Trolley Tour and the Hobe Sound Polo Tailgate. This season, she single-handedly curated and hosted the Impact100 Martin Culture Club, organizing engaging events and planning fabulous post-event dinners. Additionally, Nadia championed and hosted the inaugural Impactful Conversations – The State of the Arts, bringing meaningful dialogue to the community. Her enthusiasm, creativity, and dedication are invaluable to both the Member Engagement Committee and the Impact100 Martin chapter.
