TEXTILE BINS
The white textile collection bins in the Transfer Station parking lot, sends our bagged clothing, linens, other textiles, and shoes to a huge warehouse in Massachussetts. It is sorted into three categories: usable clothing, fiber conversion, and wiping rags. Bay State pays the Transfer Station per pound of donated textiles.
CLOTHING and LINENS AT THE SWAP SHOP
Some people place clothing and shoes in good condition by the coat rack in the back of the Swap Shop. Because we no longer have volunteer workers, clothing is often dropped on the floor near the rack and linens are thrown indiscriminately by duffle area. Please hang clothing neatly on the rack and place shoes in shoe caddy or neatly on the floor so that residents can find these items clean and neatly displayed. If the rack is full, do not leave clothing in bags or on the floor. Use the big white textile collection bins in the parking lot or bring back clothing another time. When using the textile bins, please bag your donations.

TRANSFER STATION STICKERS
New stickers will be available after July 1; purchased at Town Hall or by mail. Stickers should be affixed to your vehicle’s windshield before August 11th.
Every resident in the towns of Salisbury and Sharon must pay a User Fee (aka Sticker Fee). Even if you use a hauler (ex. This fee must be paid whether you use the station during the year or not. Once paid, you will receive a sticker that will allow you access to the station throughout the year, should you decide to go with your own vehicle. Your current (green) sticker is valid through August 11th, 2026.
2. Forms will be available at Town Hall and online at: https://www.salisburysharontransferstation.com
