Come on by to visit my Studio in Soquel, CA

I have been reorganizing my studio walls after a successful Kings Mountain Art Fair in September. I'm really pleased that so many people came by to say hi and that so many of you adopted one of my paintings to take home. Your purchases of my original paintings and my prints support my career both financially and emotionally. Thank you all.

Open Studio Tour 2025 in Santa Cruz County

I am pleased and honored that Lenz Art, the major artists’ supply store in Santa Cruz County, chose to feature my art and studio on the Back Cover of this year’s Open Studio Catalogue. Thanks to Judi and Ryan, design and photography, for their work on their Lenz Ad.

There are 2 places with Open Studio preview exhibits; each includes 1 or 2 of my paintings:

• Santa Cruz Art League at 526 Broadway in Santa Cruz, Sept 26 - Oct 19 Wed-Sun 12noon-5pm
• Pajaro Valley Arts, Porter Bldg, 280 Main St Watsonville, Sept 20-Oct 19 Fri-Sun 11am-4pm

Here are a couple of my new paintings I am exhibiting in my studio:

Primrose and Lighthouse 12x16 oil on canvas.

I recently discovered the scaffolding has been removed from the refurbishment of the Pigeon Point Lighthouse south of Pescadero. I went with friends to create this painting on a windless sunny day.

Meadow in Summer 11x14, oil on canvas. 
Painted during my annual painter's retreat in the Big Sur area. My friend Sue identified this location with an old tree and a colorful golden meadow.

My Art Studio (at 4930 Cherryvale Avenue in Soquel) will be open for visitors on the weekends of October 4 & 5, and 18 & 19, from 11am to 5pm. This event is organized by the Arts Council of Santa Cruz County.

I work hard to assure my working studio is looking organized for this show each year at this time. Call or text me at 831-475-5386 if you would like to visit but are not available on the show weekends or simply prefer a private showing.

Clouds Over Big Sur 24 x 36”, oil on canvas

This is my third painting from this location, off CA Highway One, a mile from Garrapata State Park and looking South.

Along with new paintings from the past year’s adventures, I am putting together a story board so you can see the painting “Clouds Over Big Sur” developing in photographs I took over the last several months.

To get here, follow my Open Studio green signs to the end of Cherryvale Avenue in Soquel (studio #77). Continue straight ahead on our paved driveway and up the hill to the studio on your right. There are a couple of pull outs on the driveway, should you encounter oncoming vehicles. I look forward to talking about art with you.
