UC President James B. Milliken Presents at First Budget Hearing
President Milliken stepped into his first budget hearing last week to discuss the importance of the University of California and to urge legislators to continue strategic UC investments to fuel statewide growth amidst federal uncertainty.
"UC research generated four inventions a day, fueling California's leading industries; and the University employs more than 265,000 people, contributing $82 billion to the state's economy. The breadth and depth of UC is unparalleled in higher education."
