SEPTEMBER 2025

Principal Message

Welcome Back, RAHS Families!

As we gear up for another exciting school year at RAHS, I want to extend a warm welcome to all of our students and families—whether you're returning or joining us for the first time. We’re looking forward to a year filled with learning, growth, and meaningful connections.

Key Dates to Know:

  • September 2 – Freshmen First Day:

This special orientation day is dedicated to our 9th-grade

students. Buses will run their regular routes, and food service

will be available. The school day will run from 8:00 a.m. to 3:15

p.m. Freshmen will have the chance to meet their teachers, run

through their schedules twice, explore our campus, sign up for

clubs and activities, and participate in team-building events. I’m

looking forward to a high-energy, welcoming start to the year!

  • September 3 – All Students Return:

We’re excited to welcome back all RAHS students on Tuesday,

September 3. Please note that September 3–5 will follow an 8-

period day schedule to help everyone settle into routines.

  • September 5 – Corn Feast:

Join the National Honor Society for their annual Corn Feast at the Beaver Pavilion in front of the high school from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. prior to the home football game versus La Crosse Central at 7:00 p.m.

  • October 6–11 – Homecoming Week:

Get ready for one of our most spirited weeks of the year!

Homecoming Week is filled with fun events and school spirit. Keep an eye on our school website for more details coming soon

about the activities and themes planned for each day.

We’re proud to launch a new opportunity at RAHS for all 10th-grade students this year as we join several area districts in participating in Mini Manufacturing World. This one-day field trip to Madison College’s Reedsburg Campus will introduce students to a variety of career pathways, providing them with the opportunity to engage directly with local business partners. We’re excited to offer this hands-on learning experience that connects education to real-world possibilities. Sophomore students will learn more about this exciting opportunity in early September.

We are thrilled to unveil our newly renovated Commons Area and Innovation Center to the community. Please watch for details regarding an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony occurring later this fall.

Thank you for your continued support of RAHS. Here's to a fantastic school year ahead!

Respectfully,

Katie Mathews, Principal Matt Bauer, Associate Principal
