PTSD Awareness Month

June is PTSD Awareness Month, a time to help raise awareness about Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and the importance of seeking support and treatment. According to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, approximately 12 million people in the United States are currently living with PTSD, including Veterans and survivors of trauma such as accidents, violence, and natural disasters. Effective treatments are available, and raising awareness can help reduce stigma and encourage individuals to access the care they need. Throughout the month, the VA encourages communities to learn more about PTSD, share helpful resources like the Veterans Crisis Line, and support those impacted by trauma.
