Tucker Hockey Tips

Critical Years of
Hockey Development

For an aspiring hockey player, the timeframe between the early years of 7 to 12 are extremely important for hockey development, especially if a player dreams of someday playing city quadrant hockey, Junior A, collegiate, semi - pro or ultimately in the NHL.

Yes, the higher the level of play the greater are the incredible odds of reaching one’s lofty goals.

There are many different schools of thought on hockey development and we trust you will enjoy the read!

Summer 2022
Adult Hockey
Bradley Mersereau Memorial Award Recipient:

Mitch Preuss
For Mitch, Hockey is one of the most incredible sports, and we have to agree with him!

Something that's always drawn him to hockey is the passion and desire to win - not because people like to win, but because they hate to lose.

Initially Mitch got involved with Tucker Hockey to learn how to skate better and really work on some tactical and stick handling skills. He took the chance this past summer and signed up for both the Fundamentals program as well as the Hybrid program and had an incredible experience!
Congratulations Mitch on being awarded the Summer 2022 Bradley Mersereau Memorial Award!

Danny Cammack Memorial
Award Recipient:

Mark Kokotenko
Mark recently arrived to Canada from Ukraine. Him and his family are being hosted by a wonderful family, Darren and Charlene Dorey and their son Jayden. Mark saw Jayden play hockey and it inspired him to try it too.

The Calgary Flames Spots Bank provided Mark with all the necessary equipment for hockey. Darren connected Mark with Tucker Hockey and he was able to learn how to skate and play hockey.
Congratulations Mark on being awarded the Summer 2022 Danny Cammack Memorial Award!
