| | | | Foundation + Workforce News | | Beyond the Tassel: Behind the Scenes at Ascend | | |
We’re kicking off Beyond the Tassel, our Community Workforce initiative connecting students from Foley and Elberta High Schools with local businesses, industries and career opportunities.
For our first experience, students went behind the scenes at Ascend Performance Materials in Foley, where they explored the plant’s operations, learned how materials produced locally are used in everyday products, and heard directly from employees about what it takes to build a career in manufacturing. Students also had the opportunity to speak with Ascend’s HR team about qualifications, job opportunities and the steps to apply for a position.
Want to see your business become part of Beyond the Tassel? We’re looking for local businesses and industries interested in opening their doors to students and giving them a firsthand look at the careers and opportunities available right here in our community.
Interested in hosting students at your facility? Reach out to learn more about becoming a Beyond the Tassel business partner.
