OCTOBER 2, 2026

Dear JHCS Families,

From community service days to “boil advisories,” it has been a couple weeks of unusual scheduling. Thank you for your flexibility as we navigate these planned and unplanned events, especially as we launch a new division and all of the logistics that come with that initiative. Please be reminded that we will almost always follow the lead of the Teton County School District for school delays and cancellations relating to weather or town-wide emergencies, and if you have not signed up for our text alerts, please do so—a link to sign up is included below.

Safety is always our top priority, and we held our first fire drill for the entire school on Wednesday. Even with 175 students and faculty members evacuating our three campuses for the first time, the community handled this quickly and efficiently. This summer, we updated and upgraded our safety infrastructure and protocols to meet the needs of our growing community, and we are confident in those changes. As always, if you see or hear of potential areas for improvement, please do not hesitate to let us know.

As I write, we are making final preparations for our Community Service Day for grades 9-11. Those students will head off with faculty to Munger Mountain, High School Butte, and GTNP for trail work and to support local organizations that will benefit from 75 teenagers working hard for several hours today. As our school name indicates, community matters to us, and we are eager to make a local impact through our service today.

Take care,

Ted

Information for Families

Reminder: Middle and Upper School News

Please be reminded that our newsletters begin in this section with information for all families 6-12, followed by linked documents with news and celebrations for each division.

Subscribe to Emergency Texts from JHCS

This is a reminder that JHCS uses texts to update families in the case of an emergency. Texts will be used ONLY in the case of emergency notifications—never for marketing or any other purpose. The school will also still use email.

Some of you have not yet subscribed your phone number for texts, so I want to offer the sign-up link one more time. If you choose to subscribe using this link, please note that you must provide the same email address you've given JHCS as preferred contact so that Constant Contact merely adds your phone number into our existing parent contact lists. When you subscribe, you will receive a welcome, "opt in" text, and you must reply YES; otherwise, your registration will remain pending. Please reach out to Grace Tirapelle with any questions or to confirm your registration (gtirapelle@jhcschool.org).

Wyoming ESA: An Update from the Business Office

Families, we continue to receive ESA funds in batches and post those funds to your Grizzlink tuition accounts as soon as they are received by the school.

You may have received an email when your credits were posted to your ESA account in Odyssey. Please note that while you are free to choose any education or marketplace provider of your choice when determining how to allocate your ESA funds, you MUST log into Odyssey, go into the Wallet, and elect where your funds will go. Here is the link to your Wallet. Please contact our CFO, Ian Miller (imiller@jhcschool.org), if you need guidance with this process.
