Dear Readers,
This month, I have two exciting updates to share.
First, I am pleased to announce that I am now representing both Spectrum Reach and Yankee Magazine for advertising opportunities. Spectrum Reach offers highly targeted streaming and digital advertising solutions that allow businesses to reach the right audiences with precision. Yankee Magazine offers a variety of opportunities, advertorial pages, branded content and custom publishing projects. You could have your own branded magazine that gets delivered to Yankee’s amazing readership in the same polybag with the magazine. It’s an incredible opportunity to deliver your content to a highly affluent and influential readership.
If you've ever wanted to tell your story through branded content, reach a highly engaged New England audience or explore targeted streaming advertising, I'd be happy to discuss the possibilities. Feel free to email me at nmarshall@marshallpr.com.
My second update is that I am putting the finishing touches on my newest book about why public relations is more relevant than ever in the age of artificial intelligence.
I know that AI is a topic that generates mixed reactions. Some people are excited about it. Others are skeptical. Some may wish it would simply go away. But whether we like it or not, AI is changing the way people search for information. Like the internet or social media, it is coming to our world and our society, whether we like it or not.
Instead of scrolling through pages of Google search results, more people are asking AI tools for recommendations, information and advice. Those AI tools then determine which sources they trust and what information they will share.
This is where public relations shines.
Earned media coverage is one of the strongest trust signals available online. When respected news organizations quote you, interview you or write about your company, that third-party validation helps establish credibility not only with people, but also with AI systems. They adhere to journalistic standards, which are created by ethical journalists who are bound to show both sides of the story, they are fact checked, and they are professionally written and edited.
Press releases, thought leadership articles, podcast interviews, speaking engagements, awards and other forms of public relations also contribute to your organization's digital footprint. Together, they help create the authoritative online presence that AI relies upon when generating answers.
In other words, PR is no longer just about influencing public opinion. It's also about influencing what artificial intelligence knows about your business.
As AI continues to reshape search and discovery, organizations that invest in credibility, visibility and trust will have a significant advantage.
Stay tuned for more updates about the book in the months ahead. And if you know me, you can picture me singing in the rain and dancing in the streets, because PR is more relevant than ever! Woo Hoo!
Until next time,
