The Downtown Committee of Syracuse Celebrates its 50-Year Anniversary in 2025!
The Downtown Committee of Syracuse celebrates 50 years of fulfilling its mission of providing economic development, marketing and communications, environmental maintenance and security services to property owners, businesses, employees, residents and visitors throughout the 82 blocks that comprise Downtown Syracuse. Additionally, their team presents a series of annual events and operates special programs designed to support their constituent base and attract visitors to experience Downtown Syracuse.
Community members may help support this work and mark this milestone with a tax-deductible contribution to the Downtown Syracuse Foundation, Inc., their 501c3 corporation that secures additional resources in support of a vibrant Downtown Syracuse. Every dollar raised increases the Committee’s ability to build a thriving hub for our district. Donations can be made at DowntownSyracuse.com.
The Downtown Committee expresses gratitude to the community for their ongoing support and encourages everyone to keep patronizing local businesses. Explore the restaurants, visit the museums, and discover all that the city has to offer. With collective support, they anticipate a thriving partnership, growth, and vitality in the district for many years ahead.

Noble Cellar Receives National Recognition for Culinary Excellence
In just under a year, Noble Cellar has achieved what many restaurants strive for over decades: widespread acclaim and a shelf of prestigious awards.
The latest addition was announced January 14th: The 2024 Award of Excellence from the Distinguished Restaurants of North America (DiRōNA).
The award recognizes excellence in culinary mastery, service, beverage programs and ambiance across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.
Noble is the first Syracuse restaurant to win a DiRōNA honor. The Tailor and the Cook in Utica and The Brewster Inn have also won.
“We’re humbled by this recognition and excited for what’s ahead,” said Sarah Pelligrini, co-owner of Noble Cellar. “This first year has been extraordinary, and we’re only beginning to uncover what’s possible.”
It’s been a good first year for Noble. Wine Spectator named it among best restaurants in the world for wine, and syracuse.com named it one of the best restaurants in Central New York in 2024.
