It was wonderful to welcome families back to school yesterday at Meet the Teacher Event. We are looking forward to our First Day of School on Thursday, August 4. Please see below for important updates and reminders to make our first day a success!

Pick-up Cards

It is important that all families have their pick-up cards in-hand BEFORE the first day of school. If you were unable to attend Meet the Teacher, please stop by our front office by 3pm today or on Wednesday, August 3 from 8am-3pm to collect these.

Math Workbooks

Thank you to our families who have already purchased the Singapore Math workbooks through the school website. These books will be kept in the classroom and only sent home as work is assigned. If you have not yet purchased these books, you will be contacted individually by the front office.

Student Drop-off and Pick-up

Please take the time to review the full procedures for Traffic Flow for Student Drop-off and Pick-up and talk with your students about how the process will work. Taking the time to understand these procedures will help to ensure the safety of our students/staff and a smooth traffic flow.

See below for additional reminders about ordering Hot Lunch, our PSO Spirit Wear sale, our Kindergarten welcome and more!

Traffic Flow for Student Drop-off/Pick-up

With the expansion of Archway and addition of the new building, there are significant changes to the traffic flow for the upcoming school year. Please carefully review the new Archway Traffic Flow for Student Drop-off and Pick-up and reach out with any questions. Taking the time to understand these procedures will help to ensure the safety of our students/staff and a smooth traffic flow.

IMPORTANT: Please follow the link below to review the DETAILED Archway Traffic Flow Plan and be sure to share this link with anyone authorized to drop-off/pick-up your children.

General Reminders:

  • Morning Drop-off is from 7:20-7:47 AM. Parents who wish to drop-off earlier must enroll in Early Drop-off Club.
  • Parents in the drop-off/pick-up zone must remain in their vehicle. Faculty will assist students exiting their vehicles, however, faculty are not allowed to assist students with car seats, so parents are highly encouraged to practice prior to the start of the year so that students are able to do that independently.
  • Please have your PINK or YELLOW pick-up card clearly displayed on your dashboard during pick-up to help keep our process running smoothly. Pick-up cards will be handed out at Meet the Teacher in your oldest Archway child's classroom.
  • Due to limited parking, there will be NO walk-up option for student drop-off/pick-up at this time.
  • Parents with both Archway and Prep students, please review the pick-up procedure with your Trivium Prep students before the first day of school emphasizing the importance of arriving to the Archway Pick-up/Drop-off Zone promptly after school to be ready to load into your vehicle.

First Day of School - Kindergarten Welcome

The first day of school is memorable for students and parents. To honor this special moment for incoming Kindergarten students, Kindergarten parents will be able to walk their child onto the playground and spend a few minutes with their child on the first day of school, Thursday, August 4 during the times noted below.

First Day of Kindergarten - Thursday, August 4

Section KE - 8:10-8:20 AM

Sections KA and KD - 8:30-8:40 AM

Sections KB and KC - 8:50-9:00 AM

Kindergarten students who are dropped off (without a parent) before 7:50 AM will gather at a designated table in the Multi-Purpose Room (MPR) with activities and supervision. Once our older students are in class, Kindergarten students will proceed to the playground for a special time of play.

Our Headmaster, Dr. Scott, along with the Kindergarten team and other faculty members will be on hand to greet you and your child on their first day of school. We are looking forward to sharing this memorable time with you and your child.
