Dear Friends
This week, I had the opportunity to attend a youth minister networking lunch hosted by the Diocese, and it was a wonderful experience. The focus of the lunch was to explore what leadership looks like within our church. When you think of a leader, who comes to mind? Did you think of yourself?
If not, that’s okay—many people don’t immediately see themselves as leaders. We often think, "That’s not for me," or "Someone else will handle it." But this mindset can limit us and prevent us from reaching our full potential. Leadership is for all of us—after all, many hands make light work.
God calls each of us to lead, regardless of age, experience, or position. Jesus was leading elders in the temple as a child. Leadership has no limits. It is not limited to a select few but is a calling for all who are willing to serve. When we step into leadership, we answer God's call to guide, support, and inspire others. Each of us has the capacity to lead, and if leadership is a practice, then anyone can engage in it. Some may be more effective than others, but everyone has the ability to lead—and everyone can improve. This inclusive approach to leadership not only empowers us but also uplifts those around us, giving purpose to our work.
This Sunday, we are blessed to have youth leading the 9:00 AM service. Come and witness how our youth lead with inclusion, love, and purpose.
