At Thomas MacLaren School, we believe that all human beings can know truth, create beauty, and practice goodness. The MacLaren Society is dedicated to bringing this pursuit to the broader Colorado Springs community through the lenses of the humanities, the sciences, and the arts.

MacLaren Society: The Five States of Colorado

As Colorado celebrates its 150th anniversary and America its 250th, this fall’s MacLaren Society event will highlight the history of our beloved Centennial State with a screening of The Five States of Colorado, an Emmy Award-winning documentary by Colorado Humanities and HaveyPro Cinema. This film explores how geography, history, and culture have shaped Southern Colorado, Western Colorado, the Eastern Plains, the Front Range, and Metropolitan Denver. It offers a deeper understanding of Colorado’s various regions while inspiring conversation about the state’s past, present, and future.

Time: Doors open at 6:15 p.m., film screening begins at 6:45 p.m., evening concludes at 8:30 p.m.

MacLaren Society events are free of charge, open to the public, and for adults and Thomas MacLaren eleventh- and twelfth-grade students only.
