We have lots of light to read by as the days get longer. Which is why we can't wait to announce this year's Summer Reading program!!
Tails & Tales is the theme for Summer Reading 2021 and we think it's perfect as we shed our school year skin for summer! Whether you do your summer reading on the beach with your toes in the sand, by the poolside, while traveling for vacation, or sitting in the shade to cool off, everyone can find a great tale to read. Pick up a book featuring favorite animal characters, explore new habitats while appreciating your book's setting, or consider which protagonists share attributes with animals. No matter what you read, every book can earn you points toward prizes!
Registration for Summer Reading will open on Thursday, June 24 at 9:00am. Just join this year's online program through READsquared and start logging your reading! Adults, Teens and Children all have their own levels to complete to earn points. The more points you earn, the more prizes you can win! It's that easy!
Summer Reading at the NP Library began at least as early as 1962. That's over 50 years of Summer Reading here!! (Do you remember Summer Reading earlier than that? Let us know!) There's lots to do with the NP Library as we continue to celebrate our Centennial Anniversary. Come join us! #NPLibrary100.
