Master Gardeners Coming to CHPC

The CHPC Session and the Jefferson County Master Gardeners Association (JCMGA) have both voted unanimously to enter a partnership. Look for beautiful changes around the church grounds, as these skilled gardeners begin planting, weeding, and sprucing up areas, beginning in front of the church. We are grateful to CHPC member Claudia Foulkes, one of the Master Gardeners, for helping initiate what we hope will be a long and fruitful collaboration.

The Master Gardeners will work alongside Sustainable Agriculture of Louisville (SAL) and Stephen Bartlett in the garden space behind the parking lot. They will maintain and enhance the landscaping around the church in exchange for use of church property for their meetings and projects. They bring lots and energy and ideas that fit with CHPC’s mission, including a facelift for the church’s meditation garden, a commitment to caring for the earth, and garden-centered activities for children and families.

Party to Celebrate Bob Abrams' Birthday

Bob Abrams turns 101 on July 31. We are blessed indeed! Bob's daughter Lorna Pray will host a party with cake and ice cream on Sunday, July 28, after church in the Henry Young Fellowship Hall. Join the celebration to wish Bob a Happy Birthday!
