Please join Fr. Drew Downey for part two of Hallowtide Ghosts Wednesday-night forum in the sanctuary, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. In part two, we ask what Christians have believed about spirits and the dead, from Scripture to the Prayer Book. Light refreshments will be served. There will be children's programming in the Children's Chapel. Please RSVP below.

The Necrology, Diá de los Muertos and the Altar of Remembrance

As All Saints Day approaches, we're collecting names for the Necrology. Please submit names of passed loved ones using the button below to be read out loud. This year we have set aside a space to remember or loved ones on All Saints Day. Called an Ofrenda (offering) in Spanish, this ofrenda is a place to remember the saints who have gone before us. You are invited to bring a picture or note to place on the altar. 

The Celebration

Following our one service at 10 a.m., we will parade out of the sanctuary and through the Memorial Garden, where we will leave flowers for those who rest there. The parade will end at the Garage, where we will have Deep Run Roadhouse Barbecue catered. All are invited to join for lunch and fellowship as we also celebrate Giving Sunday and bless the pledges.

Critical Non-Perishable Food Items Shortage at FeedMore

FeedMore is currently facing a critical shortage of non-perishable food items. Any donations can be left in the FeedMore bins in the Milling Area. Monetary donations are always welcome, as they allow for the bulk purchase of needed supplies.

Mission Partner of the Month: RVA Kid's Consignment Sale

Three weeks ago, the RVA Kids' Consignment Sale, held every Spring and Fall at CCE, wrapped up their 34th sale and raised $11,500 for missions here at Christ Church. CCE missions receives between 20%-35% of everything that is sold, and that money becomes something much bigger than just a sale. For 18 years, this sale has been a part of this community. But it's also so much more - it's stewardship.

Our mission partner for November is ACTS, whose mission is to prevent homelessness in our community by providing financial support and community resources to our neighbors in housing crisis.

Meadow Planting

Sunday, November 8

Following 11 a.m. service

All are invited immediately after the 11 a.m. service to help plant our future meadow space. In an effort to reduce mowing and attract more pollinators, we will be adding hundreds of native plants to our campus. Gloves and tools are provided, so wear your gardening clothes and be a part of our creation care initiative.
