A Personal Word to My Readers

Dear Friends,

If you're reading this, you opened it.

Thanks!

I've been writing this weekly essay for more than 15 years. I missed two weeks, while I was in the hospital with Covid in 2021.

Writing this message to you each week has been the blessing of my life. I've looked forward to it every single time. Nothing gives me a greater sense of satisfaction or purpose.

This, for me, is a ministry. It is a sacred calling. It's what God wants me to do. I take it seriously. I also take it joyfully.

It is my literary pulpit.

We all need to be encouraged. Especially now. Every day, you and I need Deeper Love, Stronger Faith, and Brighter Hope. That's what I try to offer in this space each week. And when you take the time to tell me how much my writing has meant to you, it sends me over the moon.

I write to bless you. And when that happens, I rejoice and give God the glory.

Thank you for honoring me by reading what I write. For opening it, for taking the time, and making the effort to read these essays each week.

And sharing them with others.

You may have noticed A Word of Grace is on Facebook now. It sounds strange to ask it, but please "like" me.

And will you find us more readers? If each of you would commit to introducing this essay to just three people, we'd triple our readership. Thank you for doing that, for forwarding A Word of Grace to your family and friends. And for liking us on Facebook.

As you know, I write about many different subjects, hopefully all from a biblical perspective. I tell stories, share quotes, cite scripture, and make my case. I hope you find my writing, if not always agreeable, at least interesting, provocative, enjoyable, and well-expressed.

I intend to keep writing these essays until God stops me. Until I am no longer physically or mentally able to continue. Or until he calls me home.

I can only hope and pray that you enjoy reading my musings just half as much as I enjoy sharing them with you.

My faithful readers.

Thank you.

May God bless you and your family.

In His Grace,
