When it comes to the sharing of art education, information and experience, LOCA is everywhere!
LOCA raises money and hires professional artists, supplementing the income they make selling their artwork, to bring high level fine art experiences to people of all ages and skill levels.
LOCA classes are part of every child’s curriculum in Laguna Beach Schools, and they enrich children's programs at Laguna Beach Public Library, the Boys and Girls Club in the Canyon, and at TLC Bluebird Park.
LOCA offers art therapy workshops at Waymakers Laguna Beach Youth Shelter for at risk children and teens, and at Glennwood House, a residence for young adults with special needs.
LOCA workshops are enjoyed by the wider community through Senior Art Escapes at the Susi Q community Center, and Art and Sea Lions at the Pacific Marine Mammal Center. Laguna Landscapes classes are offered in conjunction with the widely respected Laguna Plein Air Painters Association.
LOCA also invites everyone to Art Talks, a monthly program where artists share their work and discuss the how and why, their methods, and and their mission.
There are programs for every age and at every level, from introductory to advanced classes for lifelong learners. Offered in a supportive spirit by professional creatives, LOCA is a unique resource for skilled artists, beginners who need some assistance in getting started on their art journey, and everyone in between.
LOCA welcomes you to join us for a class or an Art Talk, and become a member - the joy of art really should be shared!
