Official news about the City of Cedar Park from the City of Cedar Park

Public Notices and Agenda Posting

According to new legislation, new processes and procedures require municipalities to post public notices required for meetings three business days before the meeting, not including the day it is posted. Holidays are not counted towards the three days and may impact posting days.

What this means for the City of Cedar Park:

  • Type A Board Meetings: Agenda will be posted on Tuesday, before the Monday meeting
  • Type B Board Meetings: Agenda will be posted on Wednesday, before the Tuesday meeting
  • Planning and Zoning Meetings: Agenda will be posted on Wednesday, before the Tuesday meeting
  • City Council Meetings: Agenda will be posted on Friday, before the Thursday meeting

Cedar Park Public Library Named 2025 Best Public Place

The Cedar Park Public Library and Lake Flato, the architectural design team of the new library, were awarded the 2025 Best Public Place title at the Urban Land Institute's 2025 Impact Awards! ULI Austin’s annual Impact Awards are an opportunity to recognize and celebrate projects and people throughout Greater Austin that exemplify ULI’s mission: to shape the future of the built environment for transformative impact in communities worldwide.

The Best Public Place award identifies a project that provides the public with enhanced civic, open or public space access or experiences. The project may be public sector, non-profit, public/private partnership, or entirely private sector, as long as the space itself is generally open to the public without charge. Submissions must include one or more of the following:

  • Creates a lively gathering space, serving as a public destination
  • Exhibits intensive use on a regular basis and acts as a magnet for a broad spectrum of users
  • A facility that is inviting to the public regardless of ownership
  • Promotes physical, social, and/or economic health
  • Adaptability to other communities

Congratulations to the entire team on this incredible achievement, and thank you to our incredible community for making the Cedar Park Public Library a special place for all.
