VIRTUAL EVENT:

The Age-Friendly Communities Movement in NJ

PAST, PRESENT, FUTURE

Held in celebration of Older Americans Month 2025 on May 1, 2025, to "Flip the Script on Aging," this virtual event celebrated the Age-Friendly Communities Movement in New Jersey. It featured insights from leading age-friendly champions, who reflected on exciting developments for progress in the Garden State. Speakers included age-friendly champions in private philanthropy, local leaders, and innovators in state policy, research, and advocacy. This event was hosted by the Rutgers Hub for Aging Collaboration and New Jersey Advocates for Aging Well (NJAAW).

RUTGERS DAY

APRIL 26, 2025

We met with hundreds of people at Rutgers Day, engaging the public on conversations about aging, research, education, and social change. We asked attendees what they would share, ask, or tell their older self if they met them for coffee. Click here for the responses.
