The French Advantage: Where Will French Take You?

This online event is a great way to encourage students to see how any why to keep taking French.

Featuring a keynote by the education attaché from the French Consulate in Los Angeles, a panel of people who use French in various careers, and a panel on opportunities to study abroad (including gap-year programs and TAPIF), this mini-conference is a great way to highlight the utility and practicality of knowing French.

Who can participate? AATF member teachers and their students. AATF member/teacher registration is free, student registration is $1 per student. Attendee registration is limited.

What is it? A virtual conference for teachers and students (middle school through university) on how and why to keep studying French.

Where will this event take place? Online, via Zoom.

When is it? During National French Week! Saturday, November 7 at 15h ET/ 14h CT/ 13h MT/ 12h PT/ 9h HT

Why participate? To learn how French is useful in many different careers and to learn how to take advantage of opportunities to learn/study abroad.

How much does it cost? AATF member registration is free, student registration costs $1/student. If you teach in a Title I school and the cost of attending is prohibitive, please reach out to the AATF office.

What if I can't attend on that day? The event will be recorded and the recording made available to AATF members. Please don't register if you know you cannot attend.

What if I teach in a Title I school and my students are unable to pay the registration fee? Please contact the AATF office (aatf@frenchteachers.org) for assistance.

The AATF is an inclusive association, which seeks to build, value, honor and cultivate diversity.
