"I'm honored to join and lead The Women's Center of Southeastern Michigan into its next chapter alongside an incredible staff, board, and community partners to expand access to care and opportunities for women and children," says Reischl. "We're living in a time when our community's needs for connection, mental health support, and economic opportunity have never been greater. I'm eager to build upon the powerful legacy at The Center to amplify the impact we can have to support women and families across generations."
These aren't just words. Hannah's career has been about turning such convictions into reality – whether improving Medicaid-funded programs, supporting mental health in immigrant detention centers (she speaks Spanish!), or promoting strategic investments in generational health outcomes at Kaiser Permanente. Most recently, she served as Director of Clinical Quality at Maven Clinic, where she led initiatives that improved health outcomes for women and families both domestically and globally.
What makes her leadership essential now is her understanding that empowerment happens when systemic change meets individual healing – when a mother finds affordable childcare, when a survivor reclaims her voice, when someone realizes their struggle doesn't mean they've failed.
The Board's unanimous selection reflects this rare alignment of vision and experience. "Hannah's combination of strategic leadership, operational expertise, and unwavering dedication to women's well-being makes her exceptionally qualified for this role," said Sharonda Simmons, Board Chair. "Her experience scaling programs and fostering inclusive, people-centered workplaces will be instrumental as we expand our services and deepen our impact."
Hannah succeeds Marnie Leavitt, who has been central to The Center’s mission delivery for over two decades. Her influence on countless clients, therapist-interns, volunteers, and staff is immeasurable. We'll celebrate Marnie's legacy at our Spring Soiree fundraising event on May 8, 2025.
