CONNIE'S KORNER

In the year leading up to Mom’s passing, we worked together on Sweet Connie’s Cookbook, a collection filled with cherished family recipes—yes, even a few of the closely guarded secret ones. It was her wish for the cookbook to be her Christmas gift to those she loved in the year after she was gone. My brothers and I were honored to fulfill that wish, and the cookbooks have now been delivered. ❤️

Also, Mom's tree, which brightened her skilled nursing home room for many years, is now decorated for Christmas!

Each blue ornament is inscribed with the name of a family member—honoring both those who are still with us and those we hold close in memory.

Just a gentle reminder that family remains forever woven into our lives and traditions.

HAPPY JANUARY TO YOU AND YOURS!

January invites a quieter pace—a time to reflect on where we’ve been and gently step into what’s ahead.

This past season was filled with meaningful moments as we gathered for our first Christmas without Mom, holding close the traditions she loved so much. Our

Thanksmas was especially memorable with EVERYONE (yup, 16 of us) together, a reminder of how important family truly is. We also marked our anniversary with a special trip to the Biltmore Inn, taking in the fascinating King Tut exhibit—an experience we’ll always treasure as we begin this new year.

What about you—how did you enjoy the holiday season?
