The Quality Assurance Committee approved revisions to the QA Program Policies on March 7, 2025. Among the changes were updates to the following policies:
- Policy 1.1 b): Adding the existing requirement to undertake training on the duty to report child abuse and neglect.
- Policy 2.5: Adding provision and conditions for use of artificial intelligence technology in the development of CBA case materials.
- Policy 5.3: Adding clarification that randomly guessing all answers or relying solely on artificial intelligence for the CBA or other QA submissions is not considered participation.
The revised policies emphasize that use of artificial intelligence offers opportunity for efficiency; however, a registrant should not use AI to replace professional judgement, meaningful reflection, or full participation in CRPO’s QA Program. The College and registrants alike must reflect carefully on output generated by AI and not allow it to replace professional judgment and learning.
