Greetings,
Halloween is just around the corner, and we are excited to see our Artesia community come alive with costumes, decorations, and trick-or-treating fun!
As families head out to enjoy the festivities, we would like to remind all residents to use extra caution when driving through the community on Halloween night. With an increased number of children and families walking throughout the neighborhood, everyone's safety is our top priority.
A Few Friendly Safety Reminders:
- Slow Down: Please drive slowly and remain alert, especially in residential areas where children may be crossing the street.
- Watch for Trick-or-Treaters: Children can be excited and unpredictable. Be prepared for little ones who may suddenly step into the roadway or cross between parked vehicles.
- Stay Alert: Avoid distractions while driving, including cell phone use, and keep your full attention on the road.
- Use Extra Caution at Intersections: Be mindful of pedestrians at crosswalks, stop signs, and neighborhood intersections.
- Make Yourself Visible: Parents and trick-or-treaters are encouraged to carry flashlights, wear reflective accessories, and use sidewalks whenever possible.
- Supervise Young Children: Parents should accompany younger trick-or-treaters and remind children to look both ways before crossing streets.
Let's work together to make Halloween a fun, memorable, and safe evening for everyone! A little extra patience and awareness can go a long way in keeping our neighbors safe.
Wishing all our Artesia residents a safe, spooky, and Happy Halloween!
