Leadership Summit on the Hill Speaker Series

Dr. Timothy Kremchek

"A Journey of Vision, Resilience and Purpose"

Last week, we had the incredible privilege of welcoming Indian Hill Distinguished Alumnus, Class of 1977, Dr. Timothy Kremchek, back to IHHS as our featured guest for the Leadership Summit on the Hill Speaker Series. From his early days as a student at Indian Hill to his remarkable professional journey, Dr. Kremchek shared a powerful message about the importance of discovering your strengths, pursuing your passions, and preparing yourself for the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. His story reminded our students that success doesn't happen by accident. It begins with a vision, grows through intentional preparation, and requires the courage to keep your "eye on the prize," even when the journey takes unexpected turns.

One of the most impactful takeaways from Dr. Kremchek's message was a simple but profound truth: Adversity is promised to us all, but how we respond to it ultimately defines our character. Throughout his journey, he has demonstrated that meaningful leadership requires far more than ambition or accomplishment. It demands integrity, humility, a future-focused mindset, and the ability to turn a compelling vision into an actionable plan. Equally important, he challenged students to recognize that the pursuit of excellence should be grounded in joy, purpose, and an understanding of what makes each of us uniquely capable of contributing to the world around us.

Perhaps the greatest lesson from our time together was that true leadership is not simply measured by what we accomplish, but by the impact we have on others along the way. Dr. Kremchek emphasized the importance of giving back, lifting others up, and using our individual talents to strengthen the communities we serve. His return to Indian Hill was itself a wonderful example of that commitment.

Experiences like these are exactly why we created the Leadership Summit on the Hill: to connect our students with extraordinary individuals whose stories, experiences, and wisdom inspire them to think bigger, lead with purpose, and recognize the incredible potential they have to make a difference.

IHExp: "IH Capital Gains"

Alumni Insights into the World of Finance

For our second meeting of the IHEXP Capital Gains cohort, we had the privilege of welcoming back Indian Hill Class of 2022 alumnus Tejas Pisati, who now works at Millennium in New York City after graduating from NYU with a degree in Finance and Statistics. Tejas provided students with an inside look at the fast-paced world of hedge funds, exploring investment strategies, risk management, and the importance of collaboration and analytical thinking. He also shared valuable perspectives on career pathways within the financial services industry, helping students better understand the opportunities, expectations, and skills required to succeed in this competitive field.

One of his most powerful messages was that "you have to be fully in it every single day," emphasizing the importance of preparation, commitment, and intellectual curiosity. Reflecting on internships that began shortly after his senior year of high school, Tejas reinforced the incredible value of early professional experiences, networking, and intentionally pursuing opportunities.

Perhaps one of the most rewarding aspects of IHExp is seeing our alumni come full circle, investing in the next generation of Braves by sharing their journeys and inspiring students to explore what's possible. A tremendous thank you to Tejas for demonstrating how passion, hard work, and meaningful experiences can open doors to extraordinary opportunities!

"Ohio AI Showcase"

Huge Shout Out to Eli, Neelan and Yousef for representing IH at the this past weekend's "Ohio AI Showcase," a seminar that brought together educators and business leaders from across the state together to share ideas of how to leverage AI in meaningful and transformative ways!

This student-led team received positive feedback throughout and are leading the way in AI impact and the effective use of this incredible technology!

ENTREPRENEURSHIP

The BIG PITCH: "ASSISTLY"

As we continue our “Big Pitch: Where Are They Now?” series, this week we are highlighting Assistly, one of last year’s winning ventures created by co-founders Charlotte Picton and Lauren Zaring. What began as an idea on the Big Pitch stage is quickly becoming a real-world solution. Last week, Charlotte and Lauren unveiled the Assistly app to our Student Leadership Team and invited students to become part of the platform’s first cohort, an exciting milestone in taking their concept from pitch to launch.

Assistly is a community-based platform designed to connect local families who need help with everyday services, such as babysitting, lawn care, pet care, and other household needs, with students looking for meaningful work opportunities. Since winning the Big Pitch last spring, Charlotte and Lauren have worked tirelessly alongside professional developers to transform their vision into an engaging, user-friendly app. With support from the Indian Hill PTO, Assistly is preparing to begin connecting students and families in the coming months, creating opportunities for students to earn, gain experience, build responsibility, and strengthen connections within our community.

This is exactly what The Big Pitch was designed to inspire: students identifying authentic needs, developing innovative solutions, taking risks, and doing the hard work required to turn an idea into action. Assistly’s journey demonstrates that the pitch itself is only the beginning. Charlotte and Lauren continue to move their venture forward with the entrepreneurial mindset, leadership, persistence, and problem-solving skills that will serve them well far beyond Indian Hill, and we cannot wait to see where they take Assistly next.

Behind the Scenes with the Cincinnati Bengals: Where Sports, Data, and Technology Meet!

Nine Indian Hill Experienceships (IHExp) students had an extraordinary opportunity to go behind the scenes at Paycor Stadium, exploring the exciting intersection of professional sports, data analytics, and technology with the Cincinnati Bengals! Thanks to The INTERalliance of Greater Cincinnati, students gained firsthand insight into how technology and data-driven decision-making shape everything from digital playbooks and game-day operations to player evaluation, roster development, and competitive strategy.

A special highlight was the unexpected opportunity to connect with Bengals Director of Player Personnel Duke Tobin, who shared valuable insights and answered student questions about the complexities of building an NFL roster. Experiences like these exemplify the power of IHEXP, connecting classroom learning to authentic career exploration while opening students' eyes to the incredible range of professional opportunities that exist beyond the playing field!
