The official Winter Carnival guide has been sent to the printer and the proverbial bull is in the shoot. We are gearing up for our 55th year of the event with a delightful theme of "It's a Kid's World." This year's poster artwork was done by our very own local artist,

A big thank you to the many of you special people who have sponsored, purchased ads, and listed events with us in the guide and to make Winter Carnival possible! We are grateful for all the support.
We are still looking for a few
SPONSORS (4th Place Sculpture Sponsorship Anyone?!) and also looking for
VOLUNTEERS! We have our ambassador program again this year that has funds available for non-profits who volunteer at carnival. Are you part of a non-profit group (501 (c)(3) ) and looking for a way to raise some extra funds? Sign-up for our ambassador program!

DESTINATION BEER ADDS ADDITIONAL
FRIDAY NIGHT EVENT (FEB. 28 & 29)
|
|
Idaho Brewer's United has added a second tasting event this year on the first Friday night, February 28th, in addition to their signature Saturday event!
Friday will have a slightly smaller beer selection than the Saturday session and will include more pub-style appetizers. Friday evening's event is also one hour shorter than Saturday's session. Think of this as "DB Light," but the perfect opportunity to taste incredible craft beer from around the State with less crowds.
The event is held in Depot Park in beautiful heated tents downtown!

DEPARTMENT OF LABOR ANNOUNCES ROTATING OFFICE LOCATIONS AND HOURS
|

A Message from Julie Heidemann, local Department of Labor representative:
Greetings!
As you may be aware….14 Labor offices in the state have closed due to budget cuts and have gone in to “Remote Service Delivery” to better assist our communities. Now that some of the dust has cleared and we are operating in our new locations, I wanted to share the new Idaho Department of Labor Schedule for our area.
Labor staff will offer walk-in hours and appointment times in these communities with the same services staff have traditionally provided. Those include job search planning, career guidance, resume writing, applying for jobs, filing for unemployment insurance benefits, mock interviews, connections to community resources, job training assistance and more. Staff will also continue to serve businesses with listing open jobs, collecting applications, connecting to resources and assisting with recruitment and other business service needs.
Our public hours are as follows:
Mondays – McCall
Valley County Annex, 550 Deinhard Lane
9 a.m.-noon; 1-5 p.m., office hours
Tuesdays – Cascade
Valley County Courthouse, 219 Main St.

Wednesdays – New Meadows

EMS Building, 106 Industrial Ave.
10 a.m.-1 p.m., office hours
Fridays – McCall
Valley County Annex, 550 Deinhard Lane
