Crosstown Connection: Nov 5-19

A Word from Pastor Paul

The Psalms urge us to “sing a new song” to the Lord. In other words, worship is to include fresh expressions from our hearts, of what is occurring in our lives right now. With that in mind, during our November 15 worship service we will have “creative expressions of prayer” - Thanking the Lord for who He is and pouring out our heart cry for the world and its need.

This is your invitation - would you like to contribute a creative expression of prayer on November 15? Perhaps you have a song or prayer that you have written, or a poem of praise or heart-cry. I invite you to contact me so we can include your expression of prayer as part of our November

15 service.

Also…a few reminders:

- this Saturday, November 7 is our work day at church. More than doing clean up, it is a delightful time to be together with others.

- November 8, following the service, I will host a table in the commons for those who want to further discuss the sermon, and for those who are newer to Crosstown.

The Lord is with us,

Pastor Paul

Global Missions Partner Update:

Please read on for a message for longtime friends of Crosstown,

Dwight & Sandi Ekholm

Dear Prayer Partner,

An increasing number of our financial support partners have gone to be with the Lord in the past couple of years—which is to be expected after more than 50 years as faith missionaries. And as of the end of this month, our ministry account has a negative balance. At the risk of sounding like TV evangelists, Sandi & I have decided to send out this brief financial update and ask you to help solidify our support balance by investing in our ministry at this time.

If you would like to give by check, please make your check payable to One Challenge and mail it to:

One Challenge

PO Box 36900

Colorado Springs, CO 80936

Be sure to enclose a note with your check specifying that your gift is for Dwight & Sandi Ekholm (Account # 127097).

Or you can give online at https://onechallenge.org/partner/127097/.

For assistance, please write to DonorRelations@oci.org. And be sure to let us know if you have any questions.

Sincerely in the Lord of the harvest,

Dwight & Sandi Ekholm

Financial Update YTD:

Total Income: $287,160

We want to express our deepest gratitude for your continued faithfulness, generosity, and support of Crosstown Covenant Church.

Because of your contributions we have reduced our financial deficit from $40,597 in May to $6,729 at the end of October. This was achieved while maintaining our shared home, sustaining our ministry programs, and extending our outreach to care for those in need within our community. Your selfless giving powerfully reflects love, community, and service.
