Third Grade Visit to Plimoth Patuxet
Our third graders visited Plimoth Patuxet on February 13th to learn what life was like in 1627 for the Pilgrims and the Wampanoags. They used a two person saw to cut logs, visited with Mistress Winslow to learn about life in the village, learned about games that Wampanoags would play and saw what life was like inside a Wetu during the winter for Wampanoag children.
Following their field trip, our third graders got a Plimoth Patuxet’s Museum Educators visit at Hatherly on 2/16. The educators visit classrooms where they help students explore intertwined cultures, investigate changing landscapes, and understand 17th-century worldviews through immersive hands-on experiences.
Many thanks to Plimoth Patuxet for the wonderful visit!
