Students Are Back in School with

 Stronger Connections for Success

MPS Pulaski students and staff member

Dear Partners,

In classrooms and work-based learning sites across Milwaukee, our 100,000-plus students are back to school.

And thanks to the work of M-Cubed, students at Milwaukee Public Schools are more likely to go on to Milwaukee Area Technical College and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, as new data indicated just a few months ago.

More than ever, our students are truly connected. Their curriculum and faculty are more closely connected. Their families are connected to a better understanding of navigating higher education. High school students are connected to early college credit, simpler applications, and a clearer path to higher education.

In this month’s newsletter, you can learn how each of our institutions is preparing new and returning students for success. Thank you for your support of the collective power of our impact.

Respectfully,

Brenda Cassellius, EdD

Superintendent, MPS

Anthony Cruz, EdD

President, MATC

Thomas Gibson, EdD

Start of Fall Semester Brings Hopes and Dreams

for the Future

Milwaukee Students

We all remember the feeling of starting a new school year—and in high school and college, that included the feeling of getting a glimpse of the future. As the door swung open, we only had to step through and stay strong on our journeys.

M-Cubed understands that students need support and guidance to find their way and stay on track. As the new school year got underway this month, M-Cubed stood ready to help students make smooth transitions, chart their course, and take hold of opportunities to increase success.
