Value Fastener offers self-tapping screws, sheet metal screws, in a broad range of sizes and styles. We maintain a huge, in-stock inventory of standard and specialized self-tapping screws to meet the needs of nearly any application.

Sheet Metal Screws

Sheet metal screws, also know as self-tapping screws. They are ideal for applications with pre-drilled holes, and are usually threaded along the entire length of the shank. Value Fastener stocks Type A, Type AB, and Type B sheet metal screws.

Type A self-tapping screws feature coarse threads and are commonly used in wood or thin metal materials from 0.015” to 0.05” thick.
Type AB self-tapping screws feature fine threads, and are more effective for brittle materials.
Type B self-tapping screws have blunt tips and are often used with plastics or thin metals from 0.05” to 0.2” thick.

Most of our sheet metal screws are manufactured from 1016-1024 steel, 18-8 and 410 stainless steel . These screws are available with a number of finish options; we offer plain finish screws, clear zinc plated screws, black zinc plated screws, green ceramic coated screws, among other options. Aluminum sheet metal screws are also available.
