Importance of Cyber Security Training
The largest surface area of a network comes from giving users access to the network, so it should come as no surprise that the primary target for many attacks is an end user. This is also why we've previously had quite a few emails addressing phishing and other sorts of attacks that are targeted for end users. There are things like spam filters and antivirus that can assist with mitigating these threats, but it is always critical to make sure end users have cyber security training to best prevent breaches.
How Can We Implement Cyber Security Training?
There are two primary ways for users to receive cyber security training. The first is the method that many people will first think of. The classic style of a group class can be effective to cover some basic ideas and tips for people.
The second method is something that has gained more support in recent years, which involves a paid subscription. This allows for things like targeted emails that mirror real threats to be sent to users so that you can see how many and/or which users click on them and are susceptible to theses attacks to target further in-depth training among other things.
If you are interested in implementing either of these trainings in your organization, please feel free to reach out to our office an let us know.
