Join LHC as we welcome Shelley Lombardo, President of Evergreen Advisors, to kick off the FY25 General Membership program year on Wednesday, September 18, at 8 a.m., at The Meeting House. Hear Shelley's key insights into how businesses can leverage community engagement to drive growth and competitive advantage and actionable strategies for companies to enhance their brand, foster innovation, and build stronger networks by actively engaging in the broader community. | |
Join LHC for the next Thought Leaders program on Thursday, October 24, beginning at 10:00 am., featuring Mary Ann Scully, Dean of Loyola University of Maryland’s Sellinger School of Business & Management, who will outline her vision of a liberal arts education and the importance of mastering the educational skills to ready young leaders for lives of impact.
This program will be offered in a hybrid format; in-person seating is limited to 35. RSVP here to indicate your attendance preference. Invoices for payment will follow via email.

| | Put a hold on your calendar and register to attend an incredible evening celebrating leadership in our community on Wednesday, November 13 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. This year, LHC is thrilled to honor Key Leader, Ellen Flynn Giles, LP ’15, in addition to a Corporate Community Impact Leader, and an Emerging Leader from LP '24. Nominations for the Corporate Community Impact Award are due by Friday, September 27; click here to learn more and complete/submit the nomination form. |
Also, the awards portion of the program will feature the Best Class Ever [BCE] for 2024. Submit to LHC those volunteer roles and activities your class (or you) have been doing throughout the year and remember, paying your dues counts, too! Click here to log your info. Contact Natalie Cross, Member Services Associate, if you have any questions. Submissions are due no later than Monday, September 30. The top three classes will be announced in mid-October.

Thank you to the many LHC alumni who donated to the recent LHC/Prepare for Success school supply drive to help students in our community get the new school year off to a solid start. Tim Payne delivered all collected items to the Stuff a Bus campaign, sponsored by WBAL-TV, 98Rock, and WBAL NewsRadio, in conjunction with Prepare for Sucess and the BrightMinds Foundation. Recruitment for Leadership Essentials (LE) 2025 is underway! LE is a six-month leadership development program that begins in December 2024 and will continue until June 2025. This program is offered by Loyola University Maryland, in collaboration with Leadership Howard County, and strives to strengthen the leadership skills of emerging and mid-level leaders through three key components: Skill-building sessions on leadership topics, one-on-one coaching, and a team-based Community Impact Project. Submissions are now being accepted by November 1, for the Blossoms 2025 Countywide Open Art Show - Art mediums include canvas, paper, fabric, photography, jewelry, mosaic, and sculpture, with the theme of pink and white blossoms. The Show will run the month of March 2025 at over 15 locations; artists of all levels and all ages are welcome to participate. More information ...
