New year, new you, new Bulldogs

Our journey into 2024

It's a beautiful start to the new year. We have an open road in front of us and our volunteers and supporters are giving us the gas we need to keep driving forward ~ more dogs to save, more adoptions to coordinate, more friendships to nurture. We hope you'll stay with us for this ride because together, we can do so much.

Join us for our first event of the year

Come see us at the Hollywood Feed in Allen on Sunday, February 4 from noon to 3 p.m. When you stop by, you can learn more about our program and meet new friends ~ or reunite with buddies you've known for years!

You can bring your own dog if your dog is dog-friendly, current on vaccinations and NOT on a retractable leash. Please don't bring dogs who could be become overwhelmed or overheated with all the activity.

Many thanks to our friends at Hollywood Feed for hosting this get-together for us!

Looking for our next event spot

We are in the process of mapping out our future public events. Do you have a dog-friendly location that may work for us in the Dallas/Fort Worth area? Outdoors is OK when the weather allows. Indoor space will be necessary once the weather heats back up. Message us if you can help.

Celebrating some of our recent awesome adoptions

Need a Valentine who will never let you down? Opt for a Bulldog!

Order one of our "May all the Bulldogs BE MINE" shirts and sweatshirts and you'll help us not only save more Bulldogs, but make more love connections with their new adoptive families.

Show us some love by ordering a couple shirts today! If you order by January 23, you should receive them by February 12 ~ just in time for Cupid to gift YOU with exactly the style, size and color you want.

Please tell all your Bulldog friends, too! Visit bonfire.com/be-mine-bulldogs/to place your order.

Hats off to all of you!

The Hat Bazaar was super thrilled at the response they received with our special collaboration. Our supporters came out in force for the December online fundraiser and quickly snagged up all the vendor's Bulldog inventory. You ordered more than 200 hats and raised $1,010 for our foster dogs. And that was in just two days!

We. Need. More. Help.

We are in dire need of more foster families in the Dallas/Fort Worth area! We'd love to find some helping hands who can fill in when are other foster families are out of town. The time you give will be brief, but the difference you make will be everlasting. Message us to learn how to apply and join our lifesaving team!

Kenna: forever in our hearts

We're sad to share of the passing of a dear forever momma and supporter, Kenna Wiggin.

Her family asked us to share this news with you, as well as encouraged that donations to our program be made in Kenna's honor.

Kenna passed away due to complications with liver disease. She was a great teammate and a valued employee at Embrey Management Services for 10 years. Her greatest role, though, was that of grandma to several grandchildren, likely closely followed by being a dog mom.

Kenna loved Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue and adopted five family members over the years. Kenna was a true supporter of rescue and always talked about how she would only adopt the ones no one else wanted, like the older ones or the ones who might look a little odd. Her only requirement was they must get along with her poodle.

Her family and her teammates will miss her dearly. We hope she's smiling down upon us as we show our love for the many Bulldogs she didn't get a chance to adopt.

This picture shows Kenna, David and Pippi on Pippi's adoption day in November 2018. We also are so grateful for the other Bulldogs she adopted: Chris P. Bacon (March 2020), Bernadette (September 2019), Roxy Roo (July 2019) and Barkley (August 2017).

To honor Kenna's memory and help other Bulldogs in need, please consider making a gift via dfwbulldogrescue.org/donate

Foster girl Sugarplum Figgy

thanks all her friends for sending her favorite treats!

She's picking up weight and will be a new girl in no time.

Follow her journey on Facebook.

Have you met some of our other

 foster dogs?

If you are interested in adoption, you must first fill out an adoption application, which can be found on our website. The application lets us know what you're looking for and if you are approved, we can help determine which one of our dogs may work best for your family.

LIVE. LOVE. RESCUE.

Hundreds of Bulldogs are lost, abandoned, taken to animal shelters, or surrendered to rescue every year. Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue accepts Bulldogs whose owners can no longer keep them, and retrieves Bulldogs from shelters and undesirable situations. Our Bulldogs are placed in suitable homes as soon as reasonably possible.
