Adobe and Office Products Officially Dropping Support for Windows 7
Over the last month or two, more and more users have been reporting issues with their Adobe and Office 365 applications. Unfortunately, for users who are still running a Windows 7 device, there may not be a fix for their issues. This is because both Adobe and Office products have dropped support for the old operating system and, when either product requires a login attempt next, users are likely to get an error message like the one at the top of this email.
What Should I Do?
Ideally, there should be no Windows 7 computers left out there since Microsoft's end of life for the operating system was January of 2020. Of course, there are some systems that received extended support updates and the impact of COVID causing delays in planned replacement schedules that resulted in a few of the devices still being out there.
If you are still running a Windows 7 computer, it may be time to look into ordering a replacement. It should be noted, however, that small computer parts are in high demand and the supply chain has yet to catch up since the epidemic began, so wait times for new computers, as well as prices, may be increased. Your orders can be sent in, but it may take some time to get the new PC in.
