The Ally: You Can Comment on MDMH Standards

| This week, we are busy looking through the Mississippi Department of Mental Health's proposed new standards for its services and preparing our public comments on them. We share with you where we are with our comments in case our thoughts help you with any comments you want to submit. Remember that comments are due by 5 PM on Tuesday, September 10. You submit them to certification@dmh.ms.gov.
I always encourage families to submit comments about standards or policies that affect our children. We, as families, have such important information. We know what does and doesn't work for our children (and for us!). That's an essential perspective for systems and providers, which they typically welcome. By sharing your feedback, you may make a difference not only for your own child and family but also for other children and families.
We'll share the comments we submit with you next week. If you have feedback on any of the directions we're going in with our current comments, please let me know—especially if you think we're off track on anything.
Remember to check out our resources and events sections! | |
